Poroshenko urged the Parliament to immediately consider bill on anti-corruption court

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko urged the Parliament to immediately and in accordance with all regulatory procedures to begin consideration the bill “About corruption court”.

About this he wrote on his page in Facebook.

“I am confident that the Verkhovna Rada during the new session will also demonstrate its transformative potential as well, as she had done in the fall. Ahead – months of critical decisions. But what I would ask deputies to do immediately is strict compliance with all regulatory procedures to begin consideration of the bill that I have introduced “On the anti-corruption court”, – said the President.

In addition, Poroshenko stressed that he counted on the support in Parliament for its initiatives, concerning the abolition of the electronic Declaration for social activists.

Recall, December 22, 2017, President Petro Poroshenko submitted to the Parliament the draft law on Higher anti-corruption court. The IMF said that the paragraphs of this document conflict with the obligations which Ukraine undertook before the international partners. In response to what Poroshenko said that the draft law on Higher anti-corruption court developed in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine and in accordance with the recommendations of the Venice Commission. Also at the world Bank believe that the adoption of the law on the anti-corruption court, as proposed Poroshenko, is invalid.
