The government has established a new Agency to protect intellectual property
cabinet of Ukraine adopted the decision on establishment of Council for questions of intellectual property.
About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of economic development.
“The Council is another important step in the development of the intellectual property system in Ukraine, which is an important priority for the Government. It is also consistent with Ukraine’s obligations under international agreements that are part of a global system of protection of intellectual property rights”, – said the first Vice Prime Minister – Minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv.

The Council’s main tasks will be the coordination of activities of Executive authorities in matters of intellectual property, the creation of mechanisms and means for resolving problems that arise in this sphere, development of proposals on improvement of activities in this area, and the like.
“The Council will include 30 people, among whom: heads of Central Executive bodies, law enforcement agencies, representatives of legislative and judicial authorities, heads of enterprises and public organizations”, – stated in the message.
