Recall, February 9, the people’s Deputy Igor Lutsenko reported the arrest of the former head of the Odessa regional state administration of Mikheil Saakashvili the special forces of SBU “alpha” in the hotel at the hem. He later deleted his post. The SBU stressed that didn’t send their fighters to the hotel, where he was a politician. The people’s Deputy Yuriy Derevyanko said that the leader of the MNJ was not detained however , the armed forces of the state border service arrived to Kiev hotel.
Earlier, Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko announced a recording of the conversation of Saakashvili and oligarch of the “family” of Yanukovych Sergey Kurchenko. They agreed to cooperate. Police arrested Saakashvili late in the evening of 8 December and taken to the detention center of the SBU.
December 11, Pechersky district court of Kiev released Saakashvili unconditionally. The court denied the prosecutors the petition about election of a measure of restraint in the form of a round-the-clock house arrest. Saakashvili is accused of assisting a criminal group under article 256 of the Penal code. He faces from 3 to 5 years behind bars.
Preliminary results of the examination the vote confirmed Saakashvili and Kurchenko audio and video footage obtained in the investigation of criminal proceedings.
