Public holidays and working Saturdays. NBU announced the schedule of the banking system before year-end
By the end of this year in Ukraine there will be nine public holidays. Some of them fall on a Sunday or in the middle of the week. Therefore, in order to avoid gaps between weekends in Ukraine transfer the working days on Saturday. Respectively banking the system also will operate on a modified schedule.
“The system of electronic payments of the National Bank of Ukraine transferred from: Friday March 9 – Saturday March 3; Monday April 30 – Saturday, may 5; Friday June 29 – Saturday, 23 June, Monday 24 December – Saturday 22 December, Monday 31 December – Saturday 29 December”, – noted in the national Bank.
The regulator said that “on demand 9 March, 30 April, 29 June, 24 December and 31 December 2018 banks can carry out cash transactions with customers without opening Bank’s business hours. Also, banks have to notify customers about a private operation in the days which are specified above; to organize work on timely payment of pensions, social allowances, other monetary benefits and ensure smooth operation of ATMs, exchange offices and organize their reinforcements cash of various denominations.”
