In Kiev will run a direct train from the train station to the airport “Borispol”

In Kiev before the end of the year promise to run direct trains from the station “Kiev-Passenger” straight to the terminal D of Boryspil airport. The corresponding project “Railways” was supported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the press service of the government.

As noted by the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, a convenient way to get to the airport is extremely important for the capital, but previously there was no technical solution to this problem. Now there is a real project that can be implemented.

“Now have a real technical solution. Proceed to its implementation. All procedural aspects need to be resolved before June 1. Until the end of the year, it is necessary that passengers could enjoy high-quality railway transportation”, – said Groisman.

According to the project construction, the line will be laid from the station “Kiev-Passenger” through station “Vydubychi” to terminal D of Boryspil airport. Journey time – 35 minutes, ticket price is 80 to 120 UAH. Actually need to finish 4 km.

Rolling stock to be used on the line 11 trains PESA 620M is 91 place and 2 trains PESA 630m on 192. All trains in the next 6 months will be prepared for use. They will be able to carry no less than 2.67 million passengers a year.
