In Ukraine appeared a new mass phishing scheme personal data under the pretext of the filing of a class action against the Bank.
About it reported in a press-service of PrivatBank.
“Declared by a group of persons collect customer data were necessary for the filing of a class action against the Bank under false pretexts, is unprecedented in the history of the banking market in case of mass phishing of personal data”, – stated in the message.
As noted, phishers promise to customers Bank money in the case of “winning” a lawsuit in exchange for filling out the questionnaire, indicating all personal data, in particular those which can be used for fraudulent transactions.
“PrivatBank reminds its customers that the transfer of personal data to third parties, especially through open sources and unknown sites is a potential threat to the use of these data by fraudsters. In addition, phishers require the use of digital signature clients that could lead to the acquisition of EDS of clients by third parties,” added the Bank.
