“Evil must be punished.” Poroshenko will take part in the meeting at Yanukovich of treason

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has decided to participate in the court session on the case of treason, the former head of state Viktor Yanukovych.

He stated this during the opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the participants of Revolution of Dignity – creative individuals “Translate me through the Maidan”.

“Evil must be punished. This is because, for the first time in Ukrainian history, I decided to participate in the trial. Unprecedented, when the President does it, but that is up to each of us. I emphasize crimes against the Maidan does not have a Statute of limitations and the criminals have crossed the line beyond which there comes a curse, and this curse, in the words of Miroslav Popovic, “stronger than the courts and is stronger than the prison”. From him nowhere to hide, even in Russia”, – said the head of state.

According to Poroshenko, he shared the dissatisfaction of society with the pace of the investigation and speed trials.
