“Gazprom” has confirmed the obligation to pay $ 2.5 billion to Naftogaz, but with the court’s decision does not agree
“Gazprom” has confirmed that the arbitration in Stockholm, took the side of “Naftogaz” according to the suit for the transit of gas, and the results of the two proceedings before the court, the Russian company must pay to the Ukrainian of 2.56 billion U.S. dollars.

The company noted that “Naftogaz” stated the claim on 17 billion dollars due to less supply of gas for its transit to European consumers than was stipulated in the contract. However, the arbitration has satisfied the requirements of Ukrainian companies in the amount of 4,674 billion.
“Given the previously awarded in favor of “Gazprom” amounts under the contract for the supply of referees foreclosed counterclaims, which “Gazprom” is obliged to pay “Naftogaz” of 2.56 billion dollars”, — stated in the message.
