Parubiy urged MPs to speed up the voting for the anti-corruption court

The law on Higher anti-corruption court, which blocked a few years, adopted in the first reading, says TSN.16:45.

In the “tongue twisters”, the deputies discussed the creation of one of the most important vessels, anti – corruption, on the bench which potentially will be sitting MPs, Ministers, and possibly the presidency. Consideration for the simplified procedure means that the Rapporteur should give an opinion on the bill in two minutes.

Hall a few times did not support a shortened procedure – demanded debate. But the head of the Verkhovna Rada from the third attempt all-taki has achieved high-speed consideration.

“Colleagues, I will tell you very simply – we are going to lose votes during consideration. Don’t do anything stupid. We need the court. The court, not your political games,” – said paruby.

The Deputy head of the presidential Administration Oleksiy Filatov barely had time to begin the main report, as the microphone is already turned off.

Ideaverona Rada adopted the Law on Higher anti-corruption court

For a basis took the presidential version of the bill, which was criticized by many MPs. The deputies resented the fact that each was given only 2 minutes to explain the essence of the bill. The second reading of the law should be improved to allow international experts to influence anti-corruption judges.

The speaker Parubiy strictly follows the rules and passes the floor to the next speaker. This is because, according to the opposition, to discuss the presidential bill, nothing yet: it does not take into account any comments of the Venice Commission, nor the international partners of Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, the underlying bill, which was introduced Petro Poroshenko, independence does not provide. And makes a smokescreen, if such court is, in fact Poroshenko, through belonging to him by right of ownership the highest kvalifikatsiyu, the high Council of justice will once again appoint loyal people to him that they did not notice the top corruption,” – says MP from the “Batkivshchyna” Serhiy Vlasenko.

The main question – who and how will appoint new anti-corruption judges. International institutions insist that the right to reject any candidate needs to have a special expert Council which will form including their recommendations. Confidence in the Ukrainian judicial self-government not.

“It is very important that the veto was our international partners. Because the high Council of justice can’t say “no” to top corrupt officials,” – said the people’s Deputy Yegor Sobolev.

Despite the criticism of the President’s bill Rada almost unanimously supported it in the first reading. The second MPs promise to make all the necessary corrections.

“The only thing they are not ready to retreat, and on several occasions, as I understand it, the President said in private meetings, is to establish the Advisory Council. The President is not ready to this court was created independently of his team,” – said the Deputy Mustafa Nayem.

The leader of the presidential faction of Artur Gerasimov to a direct question whether they will support the involvement of experts, a clear answer does not.

“We have in this matter not to go into politicization, and need to let people conduct a professional debate, it was not the process but the result,” answers Gerasimov.

This law in the Parliament was blocked for almost 2 years. And only at the request of the International monetary Fund, which categorically does not give him no money moved. His influence will be considerable – all high-profile cases of National anti-corruption Bureau and the Specialized anticorruption Prosecutor’s office will be sent here. Therefore, decades of tried and tested circuits and loyal judges will no longer be able to protect the corrupt in power.

After the vote, protesters from a tent camp near Parliament turned part of the tents. All promise to pick up where the law will vote as a whole.
