In the United States has declassified the number of Javelin missiles that Ukraine can get

The U.S. state Department approved the possible supplies to Ukraine launch vehicles and Javelin anti-tank missile systems Javelin Command Bulletin (CLUs) for a total amount of 47 million dollars.

This is stated in the statement on the website of the Agency on cooperation in the field of defense and security (Defense Security Cooperation Agency).

In particular, we are talking about 210 missiles Javelin and 37 launcher Javelin missile Command (CLU). The total amount also included technical assistance, transportation, training, support programs.

“These potential supply will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by improving the security of Ukraine. The Javelin system will help Ukraine to build its long-term defence capabilities to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity in order to satisfy their requirements of national defense. Ukraine will not be difficult to adopt in their Armed forces, these military systems. Delivery of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region”, – stated in the message.

The main contractor is a joint venture Raytheon / Lockheed Martin Javelin in Orlando, Florida and Tucson, Arizona. These missiles are provided from the reserves of the U.S. army, and CLU will be derived from the acquired assets in the special reserve on defense (SDAF).

The report notes that this is only a preliminary announcement about potential supply. No final decision yet. Delivery must be approved by the U.S. Congress.
