The Kyiv court of appeals upheld the decision of Shevchenkovsky regional court in respect of detention of people’s Deputy Hope Savchenko, a suspect in preparation of a terrorist attack in the capital, until may 20.

Note, during the court meeting, Savchenko demanded the withdrawal of the public Prosecutor Alexander Klimovich, as well as Board of judges. In addition, the journalist Irma Krat and ex-MP, Hero of Ukraine Stepan Khmara had expressed a desire to take the MP on bail.

However, the court did not satisfy any application or requirement. Thus Savchenko will remain in detention for the next two months. The court decision comes into force from the moment of Declaration and is not subject to appeal.
