Net revenues of the regulator in the past year amounted to 65.9 billion.
During 2018 the national Bank of Ukraine transferred to the state budget of the different tranches of 44.6 billion of their profits for 2017.
The NBU Council approved the consolidated financial statements on 13 April, reports the press service of the national Bank.
Last week the document was signed by Chairman of the NBU Yakov Smoliy and CEO of the audit firm ZAO “Deloitte & Touche USC”, certified auditor Eugene Splinter.
As of end 2017 balance sheet of the National Bank reached 1 trillion 27 billion UAH.
The net income of the Bank for last year amounted to 65.9 billion UAH. The main source of income were interest income, the major share of which amounted to the income on securities in Ukraine and loans to banks of Ukraine. At the same time, a majority in interest expense national Bank incurred in connection with operations for issue of certificates of Deposit and loans received from the IMF. During the year there has been a significant release of reserves. As a result, net interest income after release of reserves amounted to 45.2 billion.
The costs of the National Bank (excluding interest and fee expenses) amounted to 3.6 billion UAH. These funds were used for the manufacture of banknotes and coins, personnel, payments for the provision for probable obligations and administrative expenses. Accordingly, the financial results of the NBU in the past year amounted to 62.3 billion UAH.
Profit before distribution National Bank in 2017 amounted to 45.9 billion. Of this amount, the portion of the profit volume of 1.3 billion UAH will be allocated for the increase in total reserves of the National Bank. The other part is the volume of 44.6 billion UAH will be transferred to the state budget of Ukraine for 2018 parts – so as not to trigger a jump in inflation.
We will remind, last year the NBU transferred to the state budget billion UAH 44,379 its profits for 2016. And the amount for 2015 was 38,16 billion.
