The President also touched on the subject of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church. “I hope that somewhere in heaven the soul of a Bishop (Metropolitan Vasyl lypkivskyi – ed.) that a hundred years ago put on the agenda the question of autocephaly, hears our prayers to the Lord about the granting of the Tomos,” wrote the President.

Ukrainians the road to God is not through Moscow.

I am convinced that the Tomos of autocephaly will complete the approval of Ukraine’s independence in the spiritual dimension. It will strengthen our national security, because it will automatically weaken the impact of the aggressor on the domestic Ukrainian Affairs pic.twitter.com/6ac3xLAtLj

Poroshenko also noted that his main mission in which he feels the support of the majority of Ukrainian companies is to make Ukraine irretrievably out of a deadly zone of attraction of the Russian Empire.

“We made our European choice. We are confident we leave the sphere of Russian influence”, – said Poroshenko, and also recalled the occupied territories of Eastern Ukraine, who must be free.

The President has not paid attention to the occupied Crimea and a bridge that Russia is building across the Kerch Strait in contravention of international law.

“I’m sure the aggressor will be held responsible for the illegal construction of the Kerch bridge. The Russians, he will be useful as an evacuation route. And Ukraine after the restoration of its sovereignty in the Crimea uses it to strengthen ties with the Kuban, where lives a large number of Ukrainians”, – said the President.
