Economic growth will depend on structural reforms.

Chairman of the National Bank Yakov Smoliy sure that Ukraine will be able to pay the debt obligation until 2020 without external funding, including without the loans of the IMF. Supposedly, there is a sufficient amount of international reserves.

“Further cooperation with the IMF is key to investor confidence and affects the cost of debt capital to Ukraine. The volume of international reserves of Ukraine is sufficient to pass through the period of peak payments on public debt until the end of 2020, and without external funding, but the future prospects of economic growth will depend on progress in structural reforms,” – said resin during a meeting with top managers of the largest banks of Ukraine.

He stressed that further progress in the implementation of these reforms is important not only to preserve macro-financial stability, but also to ensure long-term economic growth in Ukraine.

Smoliy said earlier that Ukraine may receive the fifth tranche of the IMF until the fall.
