Putin’s press Secretary assured that he still had not seen the letter from Jagland.

Prisoner of the Kremlin, the Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov cannot be pardoned on the basis of the letter from the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe thorbjørn Jagland.

“You know that this request from the point of view of Russian legislation, cannot be the basis for any action, because you know what is the procedure for pardon in the Russian Federation. We talked about this many times, that I don’t want to repeat,” he said.

At the same time, Peskov noted that while I have not personally seen letters from Jagland, and suggested that it could “be made through diplomatic channels.”

Recall, 25 August 2016 the Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in a strict regime colony. He was accused in Russia of preparing to commit terrorist acts in Simferopol, Sevastopol and Yalta. May 14, 2018 Sentsov announced an indefinite hunger strike. The only condition for termination is the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners who are on the territory of the Russian Federation.
