Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrey Parubiy said about the possibility of increasing the number of members of the Central election Commission.

The VR speaker stressed the need to quickly solve update issues of the composition of the CEC. According to him, there is a major debate on this issue, and it collects offers from different factions for this reason.

So, one suggestion is to change the quantitative composition of the CEC and therefore to be considered in the hall all the proposals submitted by parliamentary factions and the President, “without dilemma, 14 and 13” (13 vacancies in CEC 14 candidates – Ed.)

Parubiy said that the proposal sounds from various MPs. He also noted that there are other proposals – in particular prinesena view. Its disadvantage is that it will launch the procedure of special checks of new candidates, if they suggested that “delays the review for quite a considerable time.”

Earlier it became known that the Verkhovna Rada plans to consider the update of the CEC before the holidays. The agenda of work of Parliament in the last week of the session is missing from the bill.

If the BPP or “popular front” suddenly decide to leave the coalition, it can cause the dissolution of Parliament and early elections. However, the current session of the Verkhovna Rada ends in a week, after the MPs go on two-month vacation.
