Moscow was given six months on the execution of the order of the court.

The international court of justice once again ordered Russia to resume in the territory annexed the Crimea , the activities of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. Deadline: 19 January 2019.

The corresponding order the court issued on 19 April 2017. However, Russia still has not fulfilled.

“In correspondence with the court of Russia, in the best traditions of the Stalinist Soviet Union tried to convince everyone that the Crimean Tatars live well in the occupation. These explanations do not distract the court’s attention from the main thing – a court order is not executed”, – is spoken in the message of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

Therefore, Ukraine has addressed in court, that he wrote a letter to Russia that the order was still binding.

“In his letter, the court granted our request and directly drew the attention of Russia that the order is mandatory requirement to renew the Majlis clear and requires the adoption of specific measures. Russia needs to take these measures and to inform the court about them until January 19, 2019. It is an important tool in the fight for the rights of the Crimean Tatar people and restoration of the authorities which have the greatest legitimacy among the Crimean Tatars. The court also reminded Russia that judicial decisions should respect and fulfil, and orders of the court of justice, and the decision of the Stockholm arbitration Institute, and many other courts, which consider cases against Russia”, – said the Minister.
