The document was handed to the assistant Pompeo.
The U.S. state Department handed the Crimean Declaration of the group of Ukrainian officials, among whom was the leader of Crimean Tatars Mustafa Dzhemilev.
This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly.
According to him, it happened during a speech of U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo in Congress, where he reaffirmed the continued support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression.
The Crimean Declaration of the representatives of Ukraine passed assistant Pompeo Wes Mitchell. In addition to Dzhemilev and Chaly, in receipt of the document was attended by the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya
“Historical, timely, and powerful solution of our strategic partner – the United States. Crimea is Ukraine! Forever!”, – wrote Chaly Facebook.
