The Ukrainian representation of the international anti-corruption organization “Transparency International” has called the head of the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office of Nazar Holodnitsky to resign.
This is stated in the statement, which was received in the mail to TSN.ia.
In Transparency International believes that voluntary dismissal of Golodnitsky was the only way to preserve the reputation of SAP, to restore confidence in the Institute and to restore active work on overcoming corruption in Ukraine.
“The head of the institution is its leader and person, so his tarnished reputation undermines the credibility of the institution that he heads. Under the circumstances, TI Ukraine calls on nazara Holodnitsky to submit an application on dismissal at own will. After all, the preservation of the independence and public confidence in the SAP are critical in the process of combating corruption in Ukraine”, – said in a statement.
