In case of a repeated violation the fine will increase five times.

At the Kiev book market “Petrovka” of SBU together with the state Committee exposed the illegal sale of books from Russia.

This was reported by the press service of the state Committee.

As explained by law enforcement, the books were distributed without permits. Now they are withdrawn from circulation, and on employers imposed fines of more than 37 thousand hryvnias.

It is noted that in the case of repeated violations, the fine will amount to more than 186 thousand hryvnias. It recalled that from 1 January 2017, there are restrictions on the import of books from the territory of the aggressor state.

Earlier, the Committee proposed to apply sanctions against Russian publishers, which produce and distribute editions of the anti-Ukrainian contents. The list made 192 edition, released 35 Russian publishers.
