The Kiev government will reimburse the burial of the dead from coronavirus

In KSCA said that the recommended method of burial of persons who died from COVID-19, is cremation.

The Kiev government will assume the reimbursement of costs of transportation and cremation of the dead from coronavirus at the request of relatives or other persons.

This was stated by Deputy Chairman of KSCA Peter Panteleev.

“We understand that many families in distress and their loved ones have died from the infection, it can be difficult financial situation. Such families, we are willing to go the extra mile to help. Let me remind you, the cremation in the spread of infection is the recommended method of burial of persons who died from COVID-19”, – he said.

According to Panteleyev, the appropriate services will provide the municipal enterprise “special Plant – ritual service”.

“No preference for any enterprise is not. Is the same for all guidelines for the burial of deceased persons with suspected or confirmation of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. They are approved by the head of liquidation of consequences of emergency situations. And this is advice that should be protect from new infections. It is now in the capital more than a thousand confirmed cases of the disease”, – said the Deputy Chairman of the KSCA.

On the evening of 12 March in Ukraine officially confirmed two more cases of infection with coronavirus. Infection was recorded in Chernivtsi, and Zhytomyr regions.
