Putin’s decree on the legalization of passports ORDO not in the spirit of the Minsk — Ministry of foreign Affairs of France
The decision of the Russian government to legalize the so-called “passport” that is issued for occupied territories of Donbas the militants of the terrorist “LNR” and “DNR” contradicts the Minsk agreements.
This was stated by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of France on Monday, 20 February.

“France regrets this decision which is contrary to the spirit of the Minsk agreements”, — stated in the message.
“We urge the Russian government to focus efforts and use its influence on separatist leaders in order to Minsk agreement was executed without delay,” stressed the foreign Ministry of France.
In addition, the French foreign Ministry noted that the implementation of the Minsk agreement is the only way a peaceful solution to the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

But the Kremlin said that Russia’s decision is not contrary to international lawincluding the Minsk agreements.

President Petro Poroshenko said in response that while recognizing the “passport”, “DNR” and “LNR”, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin once again confirmed that the occupation of Donbass under the control of the militants-separatists, and the Kremlin directly.
The legalization of so-called “passports” terrorist “LNR” and “DNR” was condemned by the international community, in particular negatively spoke at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine and the OSCE, calling such actions a violation of the Minsk agreements and the demolition of peace efforts in Ukraine.
