This year Russia was the leader in coal imports to Ukraine – media
In the first quarter of 2017, Russia has imported to Ukraine 221 thousand tons of coal in the total import volume of 413 thousand tons.
About it reports “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to own source in the Ministry of energy and coal industry.
It is noted that for the first three places this year Ukraine received from Russia – 221,6 thousand tons of coal, Poland – 118,9 thousand tons, and from South Africa – 72.9 kt.
So, coal stocks in warehouses TPP and CHPP of Ukraine in March increased by 5.2% and on 1 April amounted to 1.9 million tonnes.
Coal stocks in warehouses power plants by 1 April 2017 was 27.3% less than on April 1 last year, and fuel oil by 32%.

This is the fourth thermal power plant, which last week suspended work. April 5 rocket (Dnepr, DTEK) and trypilska TPP (Ukrainka in Kyiv region, “Centrenergo”) ceased production of electricity for the sake of economy of anthracite coal, April 7 – zmiivska TPP (the largest power plant in the Kharkiv region, “Centrenergo”). In “Ukrenergo” has previously stated that there is nothing wrong in stopping there.
