Comes into force the law “On electricity market”, without Ukraine would not receive the next tranche of 600 million euros from the European Union. Document today, June 8, during a visit to Tripoli TPP in Ukrainka of Kiev region was signed by the President Petro Poroshenko.
The law on April 13, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. It provides for the introduction of competitive relations in the energy market, including retail and, therefore, the end user will be able to choose their electricity supplier. This writes UNIAN.
The document also meets the requirements of the Third energy package and considers the norms of the current law “On functioning of electrical energy market of Ukraine”, which defines the organization of the market in General, and entailed the corporatization of the company-operator of the United power system “Ukrenergo”.
Earlier it was reported that the new electricity market will increase electricity rates for Ukrainians.
