NBU counted in the banking system, 57% of “dead” loans
In the Ukrainian banking system among all of the loans 57% do not work. This is the main obstacle for active recovery of lending in the country.
This was stated by the Deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine Kateryna Rozhkova, UNIAN reports.
“The first is a very high proportion of loans which are not working – today, it reaches 57%. And banks will be difficult to cope with this problem,” – said Rozhkov barriers to active rehabilitation loans.
NBU is now working with the Ministry of Finance, the world Bank and other partners to resolve the issue of bad loans in Bank portfolios.
