The European Union and Canada begin to implement a free trade zone

September 21 this year, the European Union and Canada begin pre-implementation of the agreement on free trade.

This was stated by the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, writes Reuters.

“Meeting at the summit of “Big twenty” in Hamburg confirmed our commitment to the rules of the international trading system, we agreed to set the date of 21 September 2017 to start the provisional application of the agreement, and to this date have been implemented all the necessary measures”, – said in a statement Juncker and Trudeau.

The FTA agreement has not yet gained strength, because not all of the 28 member countries of the EU and parliaments ratified the document. The agreement the parties signed in October 2016.

Recall, from August 1, 2017 will begin to operate a free trade zone between Canada and Ukraine.
