Ukraine is ready to exchange detained in the Donbass Russian soldiers detained in Russia Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko.
This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko in an interview with the Austrian publication Profil.
“We are ready to release the Russian soldiers who came to our earth as a killer to be released Sushchenko,” – said the head of state.

He also assured that Ukraine is seeking the release of all Ukrainians detained in Russia.
“Sushchenko, Sentsov, many Crimean Tatars: we want to return”, – said Poroshenko, adding that Crimean Director Oleg Sentsov is in Russia for almost four years.
As noted, the conversation took place on the eve of the birthday Sushchenko, 7 Feb.
Recall, 30 September 2016, Roman Sushchenko was arrested in Moscow, where he arrived on a private trip. On 7 October he was charged with “espionage”.
The FSB believes Ukrainian employee of the Main intelligence Directorate of the defense Ministry Ukraine. Russian security forces claim that Sushchenko “purposefully collected data of state secret, the activities of the Armed forces and of National guard troops of the Russian Federation”. The journalist denies all the charges. The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands from the Russian side to stop the illegal detention of Ukrainian journalists and to ensure its smooth return to Ukraine.
