After escaping from the terrorists the man was hiding in Russia, then in other regions of Ukraine.
In the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region the former assistant to the militants voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement authorities.
About it reports a press-service of the regional police.
“In Easter holidays to employees Chasovoyarsk police station has addressed 29-the summer local who told that in 2014 helped the participants of illegal armed formations”, – is noted in the police.
The mercenary was on duty at the checkpoint near the village of Grigorovka. “Service” without carrying arms and in civilian clothes. His task was to inspect vehicles, Luggage and documents people.
After fleeing the terrorists, a man hiding in Russia, then in other regions of Ukraine and, in the end, came to the police.
“Now he is testifying and cooperates fully with the investigators”, – militiamen told.
According to section 6 of article 260 of the Criminal code of Ukraine is exempted from criminal liability a person who was in the armed forces, if she voluntarily resigned from such formation and reported its existence in the bodies of state power or bodies of local self-government.
