Ukraine has expressed willingness to provide a corridor for withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria.

This was stated by special representative of Ukraine on Transnistrian settlement Viktor Kryzhanovsky, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“Our position is unchanged – the territory we will give, we will provide unimpeded and safe removal of Russian troops and ammunition from Transnistria, as soon as Russia starts to do it. Or at least Express readiness”, – he stressed.

According to Kryzhanovsky, Russia is not going to withdraw its troops, “they will cling to everything and look for new items”.

“Just yesterday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Rogozin tweeted that they will not do that, because it could destabilize the situation. In the Duma politicians say that the situation in Ukraine is unstable, as you can take ammunition through this area. These are all stories for neurotic” – he said.

In turn, the Ambassador of Moldova in Ukraine Ruslan Bolbochan confirmed that the official Chisinau insists on the withdrawal of Russian troops according to the previously undertaken by Russia of its international obligations.

“We are concerned about the military exercises on the territory of Transnistria, we speak about this at various international platforms. According to some, last year there were about 300 such exercises. This is alarming us,” said the diplomat.

Recall, the Prime Minister Pavel Filip during the Kyiv security forum, said that Moldova demands withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria and is ready to agree that the arms and ammunition sent through the corridor on the territory of Ukraine.
