The Commission concerning pardon in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district has not accepted for consideration two petitions concerning the Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov.
About it reported in a press-service of the Governor of the district, reports Interfax.
“We reiterate that the Commission on pardons has received two applications, but both are not from Oleg Sentsov. The clemency petition must be written personally Sentsov, so request not accepted”, – said the press service.

There also explained that the petition from the mother of Sentsov and the Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea Clement was first written in the name of the President of Russia. From the President’s administration they were directed to the Commission on clemency in the area.

Recall, 25 August 2015, the Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in a strict regime colony. He was accused in Russia of preparing to commit terrorist acts in Simferopol, Sevastopol and Yalta. May 14, 2018 Sentsov announced an indefinite hunger strike. The only condition for termination is the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners who are on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Sentsov refused to ask Putin for pardon. According to his lawyer, he has a very low pulse, anaemia and heart problems, but the hunger strike to refuse he is not going to.
