Provides for the right of members of the EP to receive a pension on a par with conscripts.

President Petro Poroshenko has signed a law which provides for the distribution of benefits to participants of the antiterrorist operation in the Operation of the joint forces.

He said this during a meeting with Ukrainian ambassadors and soldiers in Avdeevka Donetsk region.

“Provided and guaranteed the rights of Ukrainian troops in connection with the Operation of the joint forces. It also guarantees a higher level of social protection of Ukrainian servicemen. And today I am convinced that this is the way we are moving in the right direction,” he said.

The law is aimed at providing a comprehensive solution to the question of social protection of citizens who participate in the implementation of measures to ensure national security and defense, the resistance and the containment of Russia’s military aggression in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, as well as other issues related to the implementation of these measures.

The implementation of the law will enable the participants in the Operation of joint forces to obtain the right to use state guarantees provided to participants of the ATO veterans and participants of hostilities.

In particular, it envisages the right of members of the EP to receive a pension on a par with conscripts.
