The President has canceled the license for wholesale alcohol sales for small, local producers of fruit wines.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a law abolishing the small winemakers license for the wholesale sale of wine and offered to install the country’s Day winemaker.

He stated this at a meeting with winemakers of the Odessa region.

“We have a very large number of holidays, but holiday winemaker and celebration of Ukrainian wine we have. And they think if we have the holiday winemaker, and the winemakers there – it’s wrong,” he said.

According to Poroshenko, it is possible to bind the event to October 7 – the date of the signing of the law abolishing licenses on wholesale alcohol sales for small, local producers of fruit wines from its own raw materials, which amounted to 500 thousand hryvnia per year.

“I think it would be very good if we started a celebration of the winemaker. Offer other (date) – asking much. But I wish we had a holiday of young wine” – the President added.

We will remind, earlier Poroshenko has signed a decree on the celebration in 2016 of the Day of Dignity and Freedom on November 21 – the day of the Orange revolution of 2004 and the revolution of Dignity 2013. The celebrations will involve active participants of the revolutionary events.
