Poroshenko appointed Advisor to the former Deputy Minister of Finance

Umansky will work out of state.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has appointed former first Deputy Finance Minister Ihor Umansky as its adviser.

This is stated on the website of the head of state in the relevant decree.

Previously, Umansky worked in the governments of Prime Ministers Yulia Tymoshenko and Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

Umansky began his career in the National Agency of Ukraine for development and European integration. Then was the expert of service of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine on economic issues, held senior positions in the Ministry of economy. In June 2004 moved to the national Bank and was the Director of the Department on work with problem banks. Then – Deputy Chairman of “Ukrtransnafta”, Deputy Chairman of the State mortgage institution, Deputy Chairman of the state Agency for investments and innovations.

In January 2008 he took up the chair of the first Deputy Minister of Finance, and a year later became acting head of the Ministry of Finance in the second government of Yulia Tymoshenko.
