The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel held a telephone conversation, during which discussed the situation in the Donbass and the possibility of holding a meeting of leaders “Norman Quartet.”
It is reported TASS with reference to the official representative of the German government Steffen Seibert.
Poroshenko and Merkel agreed on the need to stabilize the truce in the Donbass and continue the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Also, according to Seibert, the two leaders agreed that the meeting in the “channel format” should be preceded by further consultation.

We will remind, the assistant to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Yuri Ushakov said that the meeting of four presidents can be held on 19 October, however this date is not confirmed neither the Ukrainian side nor the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
On the eve of the initiative to meet the four heads of state were made by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. And French President Francois Hollande are going to arrange a telephone conversation with Putin and Merkel to negotiate.
