In the capital, the Commission agreed on the renaming of 11 streets and squares.
At the meeting of the standing Committee of Kyiv city Council on issues of local self-government, regional and international relations, the deputies agreed on the renaming of the Boulevard, the streets, the name of the area and naming the squares in Kiev.

According to the draft decision, it is proposed to name the unnamed area on crossing of streets of Marshal Malinovsky and Dobryninskoe in the Obolon area of Leonid Telyatnikov. The Park at the intersection of Strategic highway and the prospectus of Science in goloseyevsky area want to be called “the Square of a name of ATO volunteers”, and square at the Vladimir passage, 1 can get the name “Lithuania”.
In addition, it is proposed to rename the 11 streets, boulevards and alleys.
According to deputies, the adoption of the resolutions will promote the “democratization of Ukrainian society and its progress towards European values and to the memory of outstanding figures and reflected in the toponymy of the capital of the main events of the struggle of Ukrainian people for independence”.
The draft decisions also need to consider the permanent Commission of the Kyiv city Council on culture, tourism and information policy.
