Poroshenko vetoed one of the “Eurointegration laws”

A bill to assess the impact on the environment is developed based on the directives of the European Union.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko today, October 31, vetoed the draft law “On impact assessment on environment”, which is included in the “European” package.

This is stated on the website the Ukrainian Parliament.

“31.10.2016 years – Returned with the President’s proposals”, – stated in the bill in the section “Prepared for consideration with the President’s veto”.

Rada adopted the bill ” No. 2009a-d from 22.02.2016 “On the assessment of environmental impact”, that is included in the so-called “package of European integration laws” on 4 October. Its adoption including a condition for the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.

A bill to assess the impact on the environment is developed based on the directives of the European Union. It aims to introduce the European model of assessing the impact on the environment, liability for damage and the environment equally needs to bear in society and business.

This law should be adopted before the end of 2016, as envisaged by the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
