1. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held a phone conversation with newly elected President of the United States Donald trump. Poroshenko congratulated trump on his election victory and assured of his readiness to actively cooperate with the new administration of the President of the United States to strengthen strategic partnerships. Poroshenko and trump agreed to continue contacts, including holding a bilateral meeting. The Ukrainian President has invited elected US leader to visit Ukraine at a convenient time. Read more→

2. The Russian Federation began a new aggressive air assault on rebels and civilians in Aleppo. Airstrikes have hit rebels in occupied areas of Aleppo. At least nine people died, among them three children and another 30 people were injured. Also one of the Russian air strikes have hit a hospital in the village to the West of Aleppo, killing at least one person. Read more→

3. The third Committee of the UN General Assembly endorsed the Ukrainian resolution on human rights in the occupied Crimea. Voted for the resolution, 73 countries, with 76 abstentions, 23 were against, the latter include Russia and Belarus. “For the first time in documents of the UN, called Russia a country-occupier, Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol temporarily occupied territory”, – said the Ukrainian mission to the UN. 4. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called adopted on 15 November the UN General Assembly resolution on human rights in Crimea, the real victory for justice. Poroshenko thanked all States that had supported the document, and promised to further strengthen the international legal framework for the de-occupation of Ukrainian Crimea. Read more→

5. The Chairman of the Committee on armed services of the Senate of the USA John McCain called on the new American leadership, headed by Donald trump not to trust the statements of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin about improving relations and not to become complicit in his criminal intervention. The last attempt of the Obama administration to restart relations with Russia, according to the legislator, “ended with the invasion of Putin to Ukraine”. Read more→
