Israel has announced the signing of the Ukraine agreement on free trade zone

Next year, Israel and Ukraine have all chances to sign the agreement on free trade zone.

“I hope and expect that following 2017, the agreement on free trade zone between Ukraine and Israel will be signed”, – said the speaker of the Parliament (Knesset) of Israel Yuli-Yoel Edelstein on the forum in Kiev, reports UNIAN.

Edelstein said that the Israeli side will accelerate the consideration of issues related to the conclusion of the agreement.

“We also have bodies that need to push for acceleration of the process,” he said.

Especially important may be the cooperation of Ukraine and Israel in the sphere of high technologies.

We will remind, Ukraine and Israel held talks on the introduction of a free trade zone for several years, but in the summer of 2013 they were discontinued. In September 2015, Kiev and tel Aviv resumed its discussion. Announced that the agreement will be signed in the first half of 2016, but this did not happen. In July this year, the parties held a third round of talks, which allowed the two countries to reach the final stage of discussion of conditions for the building of a free trade zone.
