Look forward to the implementation of the EU its obligations under bezveze without delay.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman said that Ukraine has fulfilled all criteria for visa-free regime with the EU. Now Kiev is counting on the EU delivering on its commitments.

This Groisman said during a meeting with President of the European Council Donald Tusk in Brussels.

“Ukraine has fulfilled all criteria for bizwise. Look forward to the implementation of the EU its obligations without delay,” – said the Prime Minister.

Donald Tusk has said the European Union closely monitor the results of activities of the Ukrainian government and the European Council appreciates the results of reforms in Ukraine.

Groysman drew attention to the intensified fighting in Eastern Ukraine. He noted that recent events in Avdiivka threaten the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass. Donald Tusk expressed his full support to Ukraine in this process.

Tusk also supported Groisman of the need to continue the sanctions policy towards the Russian Federation.

“Sanctions are a punishment, and the lifting of sanctions – reward for the renunciation of aggression and willingness to adhere to generally accepted rules of international law, sovereignty, territorial integrity of independent States and democratic values,” – said Vladimir Groisman.

Recall that on 2 February the European Parliament voted for the introduction of a visa-free regime with Georgia. Visa liberalization for Georgia voted 553 MP, 66 against, 28 abstained.

Earlier, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that the final decision on bezveze between Ukraine and the EU will be known in the spring. To this end, the European Parliament should vote on the mechanism to respond to migration risks.

Tripartite talks on bitwise for Ukraine between the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European Council will take place on 28 February.
