Ukraine may file against Russia a lawsuit – Deputy Prime Minister

Ukraine will address with the claim against Russia to international courts in case of obstruction by the Russian Federation of fish in Ukrainian territorial waters.

About it informs the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze, writes UKRINFORM.

“As for what someone wants to stop us in our territorial waters to engage in fishing, I think it’s another one of those cases that could turn into another claim of Ukraine against the Russian Federation. I think it will be absolutely justified,” said klympush-Tsintsadze.

We will remind that on April 6, officers of the border Department of the FSB of Russia in the occupied Crimea detained “for violating the state border,” the Ukrainian fishing vessel “Fisherman Kherson”.

The crew informed that the border of the occupied Crimea verbally warned them that starting in may 2017 intend to inform coastal services from the annexed Peninsula about the need to arrest the Ukrainian courts, even if they will be in the economic zone of Ukraine.
