Poroshenko talked with Putin, Merkel and Hollande on Easter “regime of silence” in the Donbass

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation in the Channel format with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

“The leaders of the Normandy format countries reaffirmed their commitment to implement the Minsk agreements in part, in particular, with regard to both security and political aspects of the settlement”, – stated in the message.

They welcomed the agreement on the resumption of the ceasefire on the occasion of Easter and stressed the importance of strict compliance with the specified mode.

The heads of States urged to intensify efforts for the release and exchange of detainees by the principle “all for all” and condemned the threats to observers of the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE.

In addition, they thanked the French President Francois Hollande for his efforts in the framework of the Normandy format and expressed hope that this format will continue after the presidential elections in France.

We will remind, on March 29, the Trilateral contact group agreed on ceasefire in the Donbass , during Easter holidays.
