After the flight of Yanukovych wrote two letters with a request to send troops to Ukraine – military Prosecutor

The former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych after his escape, wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin to use the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine and sent a similar letter to the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

This was announced by the representative of the prosecution, the Prosecutor of the Chief military Prosecutor’s office Ruslan Kravchenko, reports UNIAN.

“While in Russia, he prepared and sent a letter to Russian President Putin asking him to use the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. We also found that a similar letter he also wrote to the Federation Council of the Russian Federation – also regarding the call to use Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine. We have found that only the letter legitimized the decisions and actions of the authorities of the Russian Federation, namely the President and the Federation Council on granting the President of the Russian Federation of the permission to use Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine”, – he told.

Kravchenko added that it was installed and with the help of witness statements and other materials of the pretrial investigation.

“On the basis of the letter Yanukovych, the President of the Russian Federation refers to the Federation Council on the resolution, whereby the Council of the Federation gives this permission. As we all know, the world community, according to the letter, the Russian authorities, the aggressor uses their troops on the territory of our state, namely in Crimea, uses, and occupied our territory. During the execution of these criminal acts (armed forces of the Russian Federation – ed.) started and lead our country against a war of aggression,” – said Kravchenko.

“These terrible actions of the accused Yanukovych has led to millions of refugees, the tears of mothers, the maimed and the thousands of crosses in the cemeteries, it is a terrible war of aggression against our country. So we blame Yanukovych that he has committed treason, committed complicity in waging aggressive war and change of borders of the territory and the state border”, – said the Prosecutor.
