Ukraine increased gas reserves in underground storages

In Ukrainian underground storage facilities last week reserves of gas increased by 327 million cubic meters (3.9%) – up to 8 billion 724 million cubic meters (as of 6 may).

Such data are the state operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine “Ukrtransgaz”, reports UNIAN.

Daily volume of gas injection into underground storage as of may 6 was about 53,6 million cubic meters.

Recall that in the heating season the period of 2016-2017 years, Ukraine was included with gas reserves of 14.7 billion cubic meters. March 13 this year, “Ukrtransgaz” reported that Ukraine has stopped gas extraction from storage facilities and the commencement of injection.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Gazprom began construction of a gas pipeline bypassing Ukraine.
