Klimkin explained exactly how the US can join the “channel format”
The United States is ready to join in the coercion of Russia to implement the Minsk agreements in different dimensions.
This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, UNIAN news Agency reports.
“This question, by the way, which I discussed during many meetings. The United States stands ready to continue to join the effort to force Russia to implement the Minsk agreements. This is one of the key priorities,” he said.
According to Klimkin, it can happen in the form of “individual dimension”, which will, of course, very closely coordinated with the “channel format”.
“It may also be a variant of the parallel involvement of the United States of certain aspects of cooperation in the framework of the “Norman format”, – added the Minister, assuring that these issues are now discussed.
We will remind, earlier Klimkin said that Washington may join the “channel format”. He stressed that is important, not the format of negotiations, and their effectiveness.
Later, the foreign Ministry said that the US will not become part of the “channel format”, however, support the efforts of German and French colleagues in resolving the situation in Donbas.
