Militants for the second day in a row firing on human settlements — the Ukrainian side of the JCCC
In the Ukrainian side of the JCCC said that militants for the second day in a row actively shelled villages.
So, as of the end of the day on may 13 they committed 62 violations of “silence mode”, said in a message released by the press center of staff ATO.
“The Ukrainian side of the JCCC States that illegal armed groups ARDLE, ignoring all the Minsk agreements and International humanitarian law, for the second day in a row actively used banned weapons positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, important infrastructure and open fire on the settlements along the line of differentiation”, — stated in the message.
At this point, that among all the attacks were from heavy weapons.
“As of the end of the day 13 may 62 recorded violations of the ceasefire by armed opposition groups, including with the use of the banned weapons: 60 shots of jet system of volley fire “Grad”, 15 artillery shells of 152 mm caliber, 12 artillery shells in caliber of 122 mm, 131 Mina caliber 120 mm, 183 mines of calibre of 82 mm, AGS, infantry fighting vehicles and all types of small arms”, — explained in SCCC.
According to the JCCC, the fire fighters carried out the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the areas near the settlements Krasnogorovka, Novotroitskoe, Ukraine, Avdeevka, Lugansk, Chermalyk, Shirokino, Crimean, Verkhnetoretskoye, Water, Trinity, Marinka, Novozvanovka Novoluganskoe.
“Also on may 13, at about 22.10, the illegal armed groups ORDO was carried out shelling in the direction of the village new Lugansk with MLRS “Grad”. The shelling has undergone significant damage to the enterprise “agro-Soyuz”, where it was destroyed warehouse and hangar space, also affected by the pig farm, the fires continue,” — added to the JCCC.
In addition, shots from the enemy “Grad” were killed in the line of the pipeline to the indicated destination, according to the statement of the Ukrainian side.
“It should be noted that such actions of the militants is not only a gross violation of the Minsk agreements, but also real terrorism, as illicit, wanton and extensive destruction and appropriation of property not caused by military necessity is a violation of the laws or customs of war, as defined by the Rome Statute of the International criminal court, Geneva Convention and the Criminal code of Ukraine”, — stated in the SCCC.
On the scene are divisions of gschs, the National police and representatives of the Ukrainian side of the JCCC.
All, for 13 may, the enemy made attacks in the direction of the settlements of Volnovakha, Maryinka, Avdiyivka and with the use of artillery with a caliber of 152 mm and 82-mm mortars. As a result, destroyed houses, killed four civilians and another was seriously injured.
We will remind, on may 13, militants around 19:15 fired at residential quarters of the private sector in the plant. In the streets Sapronova the shell hit the courtyard of a house. Killed three women and one man. Another man in serious condition was hospitalized. The fire was qualified as a terrorist attack.
In connection with the tragedy in Avdeevka Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko canceled his visit to the Eurovision final in Kiev.
