Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman sent a letter to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and the National anti-corruption Bureau with an appeal to conduct investigations, to protect the interests of the state and to prevent the artificial bankruptcy of Public joint stock company “Odessa port plant”.

It is noted that in their appeals Groysman reminded that the decision of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm chamber of Commerce from July 25, 2016, is recognized as the duty of the HMO to the group of companies “Ostchem” the total amount of 251 235 154,59 dollars, given the penalties. South city court of Odessa region satisfied the petition of the representatives of the “Ostchem” to recover the debt and all attempts to appeal this decision failed.

In turn, addressing to the head of the NABOO Artem Sytnik, the Prime Minister urged to conduct a special investigation of activities of officials with the aim of identifying violations of the interests of the state.

“Given the strategic importance of enterprise to the economy and security of the state, I ask You to consider the investigation of activities of officials with the aim of identifying violations of the interests of the state and prevent the bankruptcy of one of the largest state enterprises”, – the statement says the head of the government to the head of NABOO.
