Public organization “Transparency International Ukraine” concerned about the lack of publication of the court decision on the confiscation of $ 1.5 billion deprived the title of President Viktor Yanukovych and his entourage.

Activists note that a similar situation will give reason to the European court of human rights obliged Ukraine to return these funds to the owners.
“The lack of judgment in publicly cast doubt on its legal purity. If this decision is taken in violation of substantive or procedural law, it will create a basis for its appeal to international judicial institutions, and it can be assumed that in the case without merit will be a decision that violated specific rights of the owners of this property and the European court of human rights may oblige Ukraine to return more than a billion owners a few years in foreign currency, regardless of the rate of the state budget”, – said the representative of public organization Andrey Sliusar.
He also stressed that the Kramatorsk city court decided on the confiscation of $ 1.5 billion three months ago.
