Kiev to the Champions League final want to “dress up” for UAH 25 million
The Commission of Kyiv city Council on budget issues has adopted a draft decision, which is expected to spend 25 million on decoration of the capital for the final match of the Champions League in 2018.
It is reported by Gromadske.
Kiev is obliged to hold a solemn reception in honor of participants of official delegations, to organize all activities that are associated with locations, and ensure proper appearance of the city. The capital will be decorated with symbols of UEFA and flags in the style of the final image of the teams ‘ players.

The Chairman of city Council Committee on budget Andriy Strannikov noted that the organization of the Champions League final will cost much cheaper than the Eurovision song contest in 2017. According to preliminary calculations, it will cost 25 million USD, whereas the Eurovision song contest was worth 200 million UAH.
Now the draft decision should consider at the plenary session of the city Council.
We will remind, in September 2016 at the UEFA Congress in Athens has announced a host of Champions League final of the season 2017/18. They became Kiev. The decisive match of the European Cup will take place at the NSC Olimpiyskiy on may 26, 2018.
