Ukraine ceased to supply electricity to the occupied Donetsk region
Today Ukraine has cut off the territory occupied by militants in Donetsk region from the power supply.
About this informed the head of Ukrenergo Vsevolod Kovalchuk on his page in Facebook.
“Officially. From 0.00 26.07.2017 was discontinued flows of electric energy from the temporarily uncontrolled areas of the Donetsk region”, – he wrote.
According to Kovalchuk, the area ORDO now does not consume power generated by power plants in the controlled part of Ukraine.
“The needs of the occupied territories in energy are covered by Starobeshevo and Zuevskaya TPP other manufacturers on the tubing string, as well as supplies from the Russian Federation, taking place along lines which are excluded from the list of inter-state flows it is not calculated in the total balance of the “Ukraine-Russia-Belarus”, – assured the head of “Ukrenergo”.
We will remind, according to the Vice-President of “all-Ukrainian energy Assembly” George Sakwa, the debts the ATO zone for the put with the territory controlled by Ukraine electricity on 1 April 2017 amounted to 2,985 billion and are all signs of hopelessness. 25 April Ukraine stopped the supply of energy to the occupied part of Luhansk region. The Minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik said that the power supply in the occupied part of the Luhansk region can be resumed in case, if they made payments and paid off the debts for electricity.
