The Cabinet has launched the sale of licenses for 4G

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting on Wednesday, August 9, took the decision to start procedures for the sale of licenses 4G.

It is reported by Government portal.

It is noted that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stressed that this is another step towards economic consolidation of Ukraine, and the development of the telecommunications industry.

He also added that the tender for the sale of licenses will occur as transparently as possible, the results in the future will bring to the state of the new technology, and the budget – additional revenue.

“We hope that the public sale will give the opportunity to attract funds to the budget, but most importantly – we will create a modern infrastructure that will develop the national economy”, – said Vladimir Groisman.

In turn, the first Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv stressed that the introduction of 4G in Ukraine is extremely important, because our government in this aspect lags behind the leading countries of the world.

“The introduction of 4G will enhance the ability of state and business in different spheres of life, will allow to increase GDP and create new jobs,” – said Stepan Kubiv.

Earlier, Kyivstar said about the readiness of 92% of their radio equipment to work in the communication standard of the fourth generation and promised to launch 4G in several cities until the end of 2018.
